28/12/2021 - Escaping Earth's shadow

After taking off in the dark on my early-morning flight to Sweden, we climbed up to cruising altitude and the sky began to brighten up, revealing the cloud cover below. To my excitement, it also revealed the stark shadow of Earth itself rapidly travelling west as we travelled east. Seeing the shadow from the air makes it so much clearer and more obvious than just watching it from Earth's surface.
