27/10/2020 - Owl attack

I was out for a walk during a storm in late October, with an extremely strong wind blowing across the top of the headland here in Aberystwyth when this large bird came hurtling just inches from my head. I remember thinking how unbelievably fluffy and big it was, so I could tell that it was something unusual and not just another seagull.

I looked up at the hedge beside me and saw to my surprise that there was an owl looking straight back out at me. The poor bird was struggling to fly in the crosswind and kept getting caught in the hedges, but I did manage to get this little clip as it scrambled to get away! :)
