After many attempts at seeing Neowise returning only photos of light pollution and clouds, I finally got a clear night. These photos were taken around 23:30, looking north, towards Tewkesbury, which is what's causing the light pollution in the background. I found some powerlines and a clear sky and took these photos!
I even managed to snap a selfie to prove my presence! It worked well to use my phone as a light to illuminate me, as I was using the phone to remotely trigger the camera, and the light is from the app, which is quite grey in colour, so I was impressed at how bright it looks with the 20 second exposure time on the DSLR.
It was actually quite difficult to see Neowise with the naked eye, the DSLR's long exposure certainly helped 'shed some light on it'. :)
