On the evening of the 7th October, a surprise thunderclap while I was working on my car suddenly alerted me to the approaching storm. Looking up I saw this immense thundercloud emerging from behind the house. I set up some cameras timelapsing, one in the house and one in the car, as that's where I was at the time. It turned out no be a passing individual cell or even a passing line, but rather a line arranged directly west-east moving directly west-east, aligned directly with Aberystwyth, seen in the radar image above. This meant that for a solid few hours we were under constant onslaught of heavy rain, hail and occasional thunder and lightning. It was very spectacular to watch it rolling in off the sea.
