25/05/2018 - Pheasant chicks in the garden

One night in May 2018, a pheasant suddenly appeared in our garden and sat amongst the plants for a few days. Just as suddenly as she'd arrived, she got up to reveal 14 tiny new-born pheasants! I couldn't quite believe it. Over the next few days, she would walk them around the garden foraging for food, but didn't leave, probably due to our high garden fences. She would often sit back down by the shed and all the chicks would run over and hide underneath her as if they were back in their eggs. I decided to take the opportunity once when she was sat down to set some GoPros up to record her movements. This is what they recorded! :)
